Dunedin Railway Station is located in Dunedin City, New Zealand, built in 1906, is one of the oldest railway stations in New Zealand. Known for its unique architectural style and ornate decor, this train station blends neo-Gothic and Renaissance architectural elements and is known as a pearl in the crown of New Zealand architecture. New Zealand features architecture, Flanders Renaissance and Dunedin train station. The train station is relished by New Zealanders for its grandeur and grand interiors. Dunedin train station is also known as the "gingerbread house", which earned the nickname "gingerbread george" for architect george chup. The railway station was built using Kokonga basalt and then decorated with Omalu limestone, plus a variety of shapes, textures and materials.
